"While this review will probably be removed. There is something about this agent's practice that I found disturbing or a better way to say it "NOT so helpful!" When we purchased our home in Jonesborough five years ago, we changed from our previous insurance company, Nationwide. When we first signed up with Start Farm, everyone in the office was fantastic. They were even able to cut our monthly Insurance premium down, saving us several hundred dollars each year. The office staff was always very receptive and helpful every time that we called. But over the past five years, we had someone injure themselves on our property ($1,000 in claim damage). We reported it immediately and were assured that we were covered and we did not have to worry about it. A couple of years later, when the big hailstorm came through Jonesborough, I called Neal's office and I told them that I did not know if there was way damage, but for peace of mind, they could send someone out to check my roof. ($0.00 in claim damage). Then in 2024 our area was hit with another storm that cause damage to our home and resulted in us having to have our roof replaced. ($1,500 in claim damage). Well, half of our roof was replaced. In January 2025, I received a letter from State Farm informing me that our homeowner's insurance was going to be cancelled. This was not due to the amount of money that they had paid out over the five years, but because we had three claims submitted to State Farm. After receiving the letter, I reached out to Neal and was told that he would investigate it and call me back. Over a period of a week, I spoke with everyone in the office, and each assured me that Neal would call me back. To add insult to injury, I was informed that State Farm does not look at the amount of money that they paid out, but the number of claims. Two of the three employees that I spoke with said, "Well if you had spoken to me, I would have told you not to file a claim." Guess what, I have spoken to each employee, except for Neal. My advice, be care when dealing with this Neal Wandell Agency and their employees. Ultimately, they cannot be trusted and are not helpful. It has been a little more than a month since I was told that Neal would call be back. It shouldn't surprise you that I have never received a call back. Unfortunately, State Farm Insurance has turned into Start Harm Insurance. After telling others about what happened to me, others began to share their horror stories about State Farm. Since my auto was with State Farm, and my house was no longer going to be covered, they were going to raise my auto insurance almost $40 more per month. Fortunately, I found a better insurance company for my auto, and I'll be saving $130 per month. As I was searching for another company to cover our home, I spoke with several different agents and each of them told me that I had more than one claim in a five-year period that they would not be able to cover us. The insurance’s little secret that they don’t tell you about. Thanks, Neal for all your help! Wait, you did not provide us the help we needed or was there to walk or talk us through this nightmare."

"I have had wonderful service with this team in the past which I certainly appreciate. I have dropped all of my insurance with them as I was told an appraisal would be reviewed again by Neal and some guy named ( Joe). The only responses I received were from Mr. Vermillion the original person that did the assessment that was in question. When I asked for a return call from Neal he never called me back. I guess he or his business has outgrown each other. If I had received a return call I would most likely never started looking at other insurances. I did find a top tier company who raised my coverage considerably ( especially homeowners) for less that $200 per year. Couldn't help but say YES to better coverage at such a low price increase. So, consider shopping your home and auto insurance every year. You may stay with the same insurer or find like I did better rates and insurance coverage with someone else. Still I give the group a 4 star as Carla and Bradley do a great job carrying Neal's agency"

"I inquired about a quote for State Farm online. I spoke with Bradley who was very knowledgeable and had a quote for me within 15 minutes of speaking with him! "I got a call about saving on my auto insurance as I was looking for a cheaper price. Bradley from state farm called and saved me just under 110 dollars a month for 2 vehicles and renters insurance. I couldn't be happier, great friendly service and no special hype about their rates and services. I highly recommend them for any insurance needs you may have!!"
